February 15, 2017 Commented I dont know yet I am amazing and intrigued by the technical side. Making something new or using something in a way that it was never intended to be used. To be at that cutting edge and figuring out how to make Impulse response files that sounds like the inside of a volcano but I like the artsy side to. To spend hours doing sound design and then finally hitting play and creating such a rich sonic landscape that nobody can tell that the location sound guy didn't even record room tone.. I guess i will find out over time
February 15, 2017 Commented I get what you saying and that is defiantly something I will add to my daily schedule but it also feels like no matter how much I learn there is always something I dont understand. Like I just discovered to the world of video game sound and I have never felt like such an idiot in my life before.
February 15, 2017 Commented Thank you so much Ipaul for the game engine advice and the link to that audio middleware article. I see the point that you trying to make. Is to approach sound design more as an artist then as an engineer. It just gets a little hard to see the art through all the plugins and synths ( that can sometimes be somewhat technical demanding) . It looks like I just have to start honing my artistic hear and also really knuckle down and spend time with unity
