6 days ago Commented I dont know yet I am amazing and intrigued by the technical side. Making something new or using something in a way that it was never intended to be used. To be at that cutting edge and figuring out how to make Impulse response files that sounds like the inside of a volcano but I like the artsy side to. To spend hours doing sound design and then finally hitting play and creating such a rich sonic landscape that nobody can tell that the location sound guy didn't even record room tone.. I guess i will find out over time
6 days ago Commented I get what you saying and that is defiantly something I will add to my daily schedule but it also feels like no matter how much I learn there is always something I dont understand. Like I just discovered to the world of video game sound and I have never felt like such an idiot in my life before.
6 days ago Commented Thank you so much Ipaul for the game engine advice and the link to that audio middleware article. I see the point that you trying to make. Is to approach sound design more as an artist then as an engineer. It just gets a little hard to see the art through all the plugins and synths ( that can sometimes be somewhat technical demanding) . It looks like I just have to start honing my artistic hear and also really knuckle down and spend time with unity
