March 9, 2017 Commented Reaktor is easier to grasp than Max/MSP or Pd. For the latter Andy Farnell's book Designing Sound is essential. As to Max, it is constantly updated by Cycling 74 so it depends on your own preferences in upgrading and so on. But Max and Pd are equivalent if not even deeper than Composers Desktop Project (which like Pd is free if you're on Windows; it doesn't seem to be working on Mac's of late; Pd is fine on both). Next stop then is Kyma, but you'll need Santa or a very rich relative to even think about going there. Since you have Reaktor, dive in there. It's unbelievable. The User Library is your best friend, the Forums on NI's own site essential. Check out Twisted Tools' ensembles for Reaktor-they will blow the game sound thing wide open.
